A Golden Latte is one of my favorite drinks, especially to cozy up for the winter. But the flavor suits any season of the year. This Golden Milk Smoothie is the best of both worlds, combining this warming flavor in a creamy and satisfying bowl.

Adding Extra Veggies to Smoothie

As you probably know, I love sneaking veggies into my smoothies.

My favorites to add are cauliflower, zucchini, and squash; they have a relatively mild taste so you won’t even notice. On the other hand, I would not recommend broccoli, bell pepper, celery, or anything that has a very distinct taste.

To prep the veggies, I wash them thoroughly, then steam them for 10 – 15 minutes. Et Voila!

The reason I steam them before freezing them is because they add the creaminess to a smoothie bowl

This golden smoothie bowl has the wholefood ingredients, the best flavor and a creamy texture. Can’t get better than that!

Don’t forget to PIN this Golden Smoothie recipe and share with your friends. I hope you’ll love this smoothie bowl as much as I do!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cauliflower, steamed then frozen
  • 1/2 cup butternut squash, roasted then frozen
  • 1/2 cup papaya
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 tsp turmeric, cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup nut milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 pinch fresh ginger, optional

Instructions

  • Pulse everything in a high-speed blender (I got my vitamix refurbished, works GREAT)
  • Top with your favorite fruit, granola, nuts and ENJOY!

Notes

  1. If you have time, soak chia seeds in nut milk for 5 minute before blending will make your smoothie extra creamy. It is like blending that creamy chia pudding.. but BETTER!
