I am not sure about you and your family- but mine LOVES to indulge in donuts on the weekend! While we love finding donuts out, sometimes it is TOUGH getting toddlers out the door! I have so many fun flavors I have made- but I knew a fun flavor was brewing in our house! Chunky Monkey Donuts came to mind, that I needed to try since my Chunky Monkey No Bake Balls and Bars have gone viral on social media! Plus, I had a lot of spotty bananas at home!

If you are looking to use all of your bananas too, these Maple Walnut Banana Bread Bars will soon be a family and friend favorite!

Let me tell you…

You are going to absolutely love these!

Enjoy!

Is it Necessary to Fry Donuts

In this case no! I have found the perfect way to maintain the flavor and moistness in these donuts. It isn’t necessary to fry donuts anyways! Unless that is how you would like to prepare them.

The true main difference between the two is that a fried donut has a crispier outside layer, and a baked donut is much softer and fluffier. You can read more about the difference between the two in this article here!

What Are in These Baked Donuts

Simple Steps to Make Chunky Monkey Baked Donuts

You won’t believe how simple this recipe is. Seriously, they are in the oven and done within 30 minutes! Now that is simplicity if you ask me!

Make sure before you begin- that you have some spotty bananas, because these ones make for the tastiest and most flavorful treats!

Bake at 350F for 15 minutes or until the middle is set.

Are These Donuts Frosted or Iced

I personally chose to frost these donuts with a cream cheese frosting! So, in this instance, they are not dairy free.

However, you could always opt to make this Vegan Cashew Cream Frosting which is equally as tasty- plus it has the slight tang of real cream cheese!

Or- If you are running low on time, just mix up some simple icing with powder sugar, liquid, and a dash of vanilla extract!

Whatever you choose to do will be sure to be delicious!

Finally, without further ado, make these baked and fluffy chunky monkey donuts that will melt in your mouth.
