So many 4th of July food ideas everywhere as the holiday is approaching.

I could have the whole party going with my BBQ pulled pork slider, patriotic blueberry crumble bars and now this 4th of July dessert kabob.

This healthy dessert recipe only will please a crowd, but also is so easy and fun to make.

Make 4th of July Dessert Kabob with Fresh Fruit

 

This is definitely a healthier alternative to all the dessert options you have out there. It is gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. But SO sweet and delicious.

I used my paleo sweet potato brownies and chocolate chip cookie bars for the kabob.

Absolutely!

You can use any of you favorite desserts for this kabob.

I also like using marshmallow or cake balls. But the sky is unlimited here with this patriotic fruit kabob. Get creative!

 

To keep it 4th of July themed, you could use any red and blue fruit to create the patriotic color:

  • Strawberry and blueberry
  • Raspberry and blueberry
  • Watermelon and blueberry

Ingredients
  

  • 12-16 small strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 1/4 batch sweet potato brownie
  • 1/4 batch chocolate chip blondie

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the brownie and chocolate chip cookie bars, or any other dessert that you choose to you use for this kabob.
  • Wash and dry all the fruit
  • Cut the brownies and chocolate chip cookie bars into squares
  • Thread the fruit and dessert squares on skewers. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. You can use different fruit and different dessert for this kabob. Absolutely!
  2. Make as many as you need for the crowd at your summer party!
  3. Carefully assemble the skewers as the brownie or blondie may fall apart is using thick wooden sticks. Try flip the brownie and cookie bar squares on the wider side to prevent crumbling.
