Broccoli Bacon Quiche {Almond Flour Crust}
This broccoli bacon quiche recipe is perfect to bring to brunch. It is loaded with roasted veggies and crispy bacon and has a “buttery” crust made with almond flour and ghee butter. I love meal prepping this recipe for a busy week. My whole family loves it!
There is nothing quite like a quiche as a comforting brunch staple.
You will have a flavor and texture explosion in every bite. The savory roasted broccoli, and salty crispy bacon, are held together in a creamy egg custard.
It is delicious, filling and actually surprisingly easy to make.
Why Do I love this Breakfast Quiche Recipe?
Who doesn’t like a buttery and cheesy quiche that is packed with creamy egg custard and yummy goodies inside?
I have made a couple of twists on a traditional quiche recipe to give you the option to make this recipe gluten and dairy-free.
Bacon: Precook the bacon under the broiler to make sure they are nice and crispy before adding to the quiche mix.
You can choose turkey bacon, vegetarian bacon or any of your favorite kinds or brands to make this recipe fit your taste.
Veggies: This recipe is a great way to sneak in extra vegetables. Got some leftover roasted broccoli? throw them in. I also love tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, and green onions. Spice up this recipe with the vegetables YOU like.
Almond Flour Crust: This homemade crust uses almond flour as its base, ghee butter in place of conventional butter. You can also use your favorite store-bought premade crust. It will make this recipe even easier to come together.
Cheese or No Cheese: I love cheddar cheese in this recipe. But it can also be made dairy-free without cheese or with vegan cheese.
Easy to Make Broccoli Bacon Quiche
I use to make Egg Muffins for Tom for breakfast all the time. I always thought making quiche was intimidating and complicated.
I was wrong.
This is just as easy as the Egg Muffins, and Tom said it is MUCH better with the buttery crust.
You can find the recipe for the homemade pie crust Here. Or you can pick up your favorite store-bought pie crust.
Then, all you need is to cook the veggies, pour the egg mixture over the veggies in the pie crust. Bake the breakfast quiche and enjoy!
Great Make-Ahead Breakfast Quiche
I know we are all fighting for that oven space on Thanksgiving day, so here is a great breakfast quiche that you can make ahead and save some oven space for the turkey and stuffing.
To reheat and serve, place the broccoli and bacon quiche in the oven at 300 F degrees for 5 – 10 minutes. You can also slice them and microwave individually.
