In a small pot bring your milk to boil and immediately turn off the heat.
Add the tea bags and let them steep for 10 - 15 minutes while you prep the rest of the ingredients.
In a big bowl, mix the oats, pecans, ground flax, cinnamon, and cardamon for the baked oats.
Add the spiced milk, apple sauce, and maple syrup and stir well.
In a small bowl, mix the pecans or walnuts, cinnamon, salt, and coconut sugar.
Spread the pecan crumble across on top of the oat bake.
Bake for 30 – 35 minutes or until the middle is set.
Notes
*you can use 2 -3 tea bags. Some brands have a stronger taste, some are milder. I like the Tazo brand decaf chai**I love using gluten-free rolled oats/old fashioned oats***you can also make your own here. You can also use a cinnamon apple sauce to give it an extra spice
