These 4 Ingredients Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats are easy to make and so delicious too! Made with brown rice crispy cereals, honey, peanut butter, and a little decadent dark chocolate, these treats are perfect for the whole family.
In a large mixing bowl, combine room temperatured peanut butter and honey or maple syrup (if the texture comes in gooey or solid form, microwave for 15- 20 seconds or until the texture becomes runny).
Add cereal and pinch of sea salt to the bowl, and gently stir until well combined (the texture should be sticky).
Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the peanut butter crispy layer into the pan.
In a small mixing bowl, melt chocolate and peanut butter together in the microwave for 40 - 50 seconds. Stir halfway to make sure the chocolate doesn't burn.
Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter rice crispy treat base. Sprinkle additional sea salt (optional).
Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Store in the fridge or freezer. I personally love having them in the freezer. It makes it cold and extra crispy.Choose drizzly and smooth peanut butter for the best result. Chunky or jars that are not very fresh might have dry clusters in them which makes it hard to mix.
